The ways to build a bait tank are pretty much the same, but you can use different containers and set-ups. This one is unique in that there are two battery choices - pretty innovative.
Liquid Tite Fittings
February 15, 2010 on 7:10 pm | In How-To's | No CommentsIf you are installing a Fishfinder, this product is for you! It can be used for your thru-hull wires and can also be used on your battery box for either the fishfinder or a bait tank. We sell the liquid tite fittings in three sizes - 3/8″, 1/2″ and 3/4″.

One of our customers sent in a review -
Paul Biediger, (Walled Lake, MI)
Just recieved and mounted my 3/4″ Liquid Tite Fitting in my Wilderness Tarpon 140 and it was very easy. Required a 1″ hole and and some tightening. I used it for my Hummingbird 190C fish finder and both the transducer cable and power cable fit perfectly! I highly recommend this product to anyone to keep their wires in place and the interior of their kayak dry. Thanks Hook 1 for having great products and selections.
A local kayak fishermen, John, just installed his fishfinder using the 1/2″ fitting and sent us some great step-by-step pictures -
He used the 1/2″ fitting for his Eagle fishfinder and found it was a tight fit for his wire to go through the fitting. He used some silicone to help it through.
John said he thinks these fittings are probably better suited for a single wire or cable install. The jaws want to squeeze symmetrically rather than in an oblong fashion. He added some GOOP for security sake.

Boga Grip Holder - by Bill Sikora
April 10, 2009 on 5:22 pm | In How-To's | 1 CommentHook 1 Customer Bill Sikora sent us the info and pictures for his Boga Grip holder. He installed some Beckson Paddle Clips on the console of his Redfish with nuts and bolts. It keeps his Boga Grip within reach for easy access as well as keeping them off the cockpit floor. He says these clips are made of plastic, which is great because they give just enough to hold the Grip tight, yet allow it to pop right out when needed.
Sea-Dog, one of our suppliers has a new product which we will be carrying in about a week - Folding Paddle Clips - They will fold over flat when not in use.
Thank you Bill for the great idea! We love to see your kayak rigging ideas! Send yours to me HERE
